How We Work

Professional women committed to spending a minimum of 5 hrs a month for 1 year with a young girl (15 -19 years old) in need of a positive role model. Our goal is to provide models of responsibility, integrity, courage and character. This is a stepping stone for our mentees to enter the Qualified Academy.

Qualified Academy is a comprehensive job development academy. Participants have the unique opportunity to not only attend courses focusing on life skills and career development, but to work one-on-one with occupational therapists to successfully transition into their desired career field. Topics covered in the Qualified Academy include: Professionalism, Budgeting, Investing, Office Technology, Communication, Change Management, Boundaries, Healthy Relationships, Six Week Writing Workshop, Self Defense, Developing Goals, Networking, Negotiation and many more.

Professionals committed to sharing their career and life experience with young adults. This short term mentoring partnership exists to allow our participants to learn more about their desired career field while receiving practical career advice from a professional in the field.
